Meet the Team
Amanda Kridel
Executive Director
Amanda joined Senior Connections in 2023. A proud TCU graduate and Columbus native, she spent several years working in Dallas and Houston before returning home. Her background includes marketing, medical practice administration, restaurant management, and nonprofit board service. Her passion for Senior Connections comes in large part from the close relationship she had with her grandparents growing up. She understands how important it is for older adults to have a place to go, things to look forward to, and people who care about them. She also believes strongly in the power of a good meal to bring people together. Her focus has been simple: make Senior Connections available to as many older adults as possible, regardless of their ability to pay or where they live.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Amanda finds joy in spending quality time with her family. She shares her life with her husband, Blake, and their three children, Hayes, Anna, and George.
Stephanie Shroyer
Program Director
Stephanie has called Fayette County home since 1976 and an active resident of Schulenburg for the past 12 years.
Her experience as an educator at the Family Crisis Center and Youth and Family Services demonstrates her unwavering dedication to supporting and empowering individuals. With a background in arts education as an instructor at Arts for Rural Texas, Stephanie has a strong
foundation in fostering creativity and personal growth among individuals of all ages. As Program Director at Senior Connections, Stephanie will utilize her unique blend of skills to create meaningful programs and services for our members, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life.
Stephanie is known for her nature-inspired art; she loves to teach, garden, read, and listen to audiobooks! She looks forward to getting to know our members and learning their interests too! We are all looking forward to her injecting her smile and her style into the daily operations at Senior Connections.
Denise Roberts
Communications Coordinator and La Grange Program Director
Denise joined Senior Connections after moving to Lavaca County in 2024 and now calls Schulenburg home. Her background includes hospitality, nonprofit work, and more than 20 years of experience helping operate her family’s business. Her passion for serving others comes from years of volunteering in her community. Since 2018, she has served on 12 PTA boards and was recently re-elected as Hallettsville Elementary School PTA President. She also serves as Program and Events Chair for the Hallettsville ISD Education Foundation. Denise brings that same commitment to Senior Connections and enjoys creating programs and opportunities that give our members something to look forward to and keep them active and involved in their community.
She and her husband, Bryan, have been married 21 years and attend Hallettsville Methodist Church with their two sons, Jaxson and Caiden. In her free time, Denise enjoys event planning, crafting, organizing, and listening to audiobooks.
