A CENTER BUILT FOR TODAY'S SENIORS:

Active & Connected.

At Senior Connections, we’re passionate about keeping our members active and connected. Every day, we see how a shared meal, a friendly conversation, and a welcoming place to gather make a real difference in their lives. Our weekly programs give older adults across Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca, and Gonzales Counties a chance to come together as a community. By participating in table games, art classes, and enjoying our home-cooked meals, members stay socially connected, keep their minds active, and build friendships.

In just three years, our membership has grown from 45 to more than 420, and meals served have increased from 1,500 annually to nearly 7,500 in 2025. This growth is more than numbers; it reflects a strong desire to participate and a growing need for services that support healthy aging in our community.

As our programs have grown, so has our need for more space. Now, we have the opportunity to transform a long-vacant building in downtown Schulenburg into a vibrant community hub.

This new space will provide:

• A larger gathering area where members can safely and comfortably come together
• A flexible space and art gallery to showcase the creativity of our Artful Seniors
• A dedicated classroom for art classes, wellness programs, and trainings
• A commercial kitchen to prepare healthy meals for all program locations
• Capacity to expand programs locally and reach older adults in neighboring communities
• The space will be available for other community use after 3 pm and weekends

Join us as we create a space that serves our members today and strengthens our community for years to come!
